How to Run Windows Recovery Console

Windows Recover console is used for recover any damage occurred to your Operating system and this is something very useful feature supplied in windows. But many of computer users unaware about using the recover console. Running Recover console is easy but most people tend to setup their operating system again and again when they encounter an error.

That would be a double work, you will need to backup your important files, put them back and waste your time too. So using recover console is would be a better option than setup windows again. Also this will ensure that your important files never miss.

Run the Recovery Console from the Windows XP start up disks or the Windows XP CD-ROM:
  • Insert the Windows XP start up disk into the floppy disk drive or insert the Windows XP CD-ROM into the CD-ROM
  • Restart your computer
  • At this point you need to start the computer from the CD-ROM drive or floppy disk drive. To implement this Press F8 when begin the restart and select CD ROM or Floppy Drive
  • If you are unable to boot the computer from CD ROM or Floppy Drive by pressing F8, change the first boot device to CD ROM, or Floppy in bios by restarting the computer again. (To access bios setup press DEL when begin the restart)
  • When the "Welcome to Setup" screen appears, start the Recovery Console by Pressing "R".
  • If you are using more than one operating system select the installation that you want to repair and press ENTER.
  • When you are prompted, type the Administrator password. If administrator password is blank, just press ENTER.
  • At the command prompt, type the appropriate commands to diagnose and repair your Windows XP installation.
  • For list of commands that are available in Recovery Console, type help at the command prompt, and then press ENTER.
  • For information about a specific command, type help command name at the command prompt, and then press ENTER.
Ex: help command name
  • To exit the Recovery Console and restart the computer, type exit at the command prompt, and then press ENTER

Thanks for this but recently i got a problem in system & want & i want to recover my data so i search my through net so i got a website which is which is provide recovery solution & it works
